Venue & Accommodation

The Conference takes place in Hotel Istra which is the resort located on St. Andrew’s Island also known as the Red Island. Besides numerous restaurants and bars the hotel offers a wide variety of sport and recreational facilities as well as the animation facilities for children and adults.
The boat connecting mainland and Red Island departs from two different places in the city of Rovinj, from harbor and the pier "Delfin", from 5:30 in the morning until midnight, when you have the last connection from mainland to Red island. The boat ride lasts 15 min and it is free of charge for the conference delegates.

Guests of Hotel Istra can park their vehicles at the Lamanova parking lot which includes a shuttle service from the “Delfin” pier.

The Organizer has secured for the conference participants certain number of rooms in Hotels Istra at discounted prices:

Note: The number of rooms is limited and it is recommended to book the room as soon as possible. The organizer cannot guarantee the room availability.

Participants who do not wish to stay in Hotel Istra can find alternative accommodation in other Hotels or private boarding houses in Rovinj. Please visit to find a Hotel with suitable prices. There is also an option of private accommodation. How to reach Rovinj/Red Island:

By Air: The most convenient way to reach Rovinj is by plane to Pula airport. It is located only 40 km from Rovinj and it is connected with city of Pula by regular bus lines and taxis. Pula is well served as a regional Croatian airport from the capital Zagreb whcih many international carriers use. There are also several direct flights from European cities. For more information please visit Pula airport. Conference organizer might organize a shuttle service for the conference participants from Pula airport to the Delfin pier in Rovinj. You are kindly requested to send your flight information to the conference secretariat.
There is also possibility to use other airports such as Zagreb, Llubljana or Trieste airports. However, in that case participants will probably have to cater to their transfer to Rovinj by themselves.

By car: Rovinj is located on omega replica watches the Istrian western coast, the biggest Adriatic peninsula, connected by easy motorway drive to Trieste (75 km), Zagreb (270 km), a liitle bit more than 500 km to Vienna and around 700 km away from Munich. When arriving to Rovinj, you should reach Hotel Istra information point at Delfin pier (see map below) where you will be awaited by hotel courteous staff and give you neccessary information about parking, transfer etc.
